I'm a self taught sculptor with a BFA in Illustration/Design from the
Massachusetts College of Art (93'). My professional artistic career has
spanned over 15 years and I have been lucky enough to work as a
sculptor for Universal Studios, FL., Walt Disney World, FL., several
museums, casinos and themed restaurants. I've also worked in the video
game industry, and as a Digital Photo-Retoucher in New York City. I'm also pround to have taught art on the elementary and college level.
Besides my sculpture work, I recently worked for a major company
designing light/sound/animated Christmas and Halloween villages for the retail market.
Being a teenager in the late 70's and early 80's my artistic interests
were fueled by amazing films like "Star Wars","Raiders of the Lost
Ark", "ET", "The Dark Crystal", and a myriad of classic Sci-fi and
Horror films, magazines, comics and books...the list is endless. I became an acute study of
characters, prosthetic make-up, costuming, and special effects. I was fascinated by all this fertile imagery, and from this fascination,
my interest in creating figures and characters began. Eventually as my
skills grew, I moved onto water-based clay, and then polymer clay. Once
I felt comfortable in polymer clay, I started to experiment with wire
armatures, and costuming. The work you see on this site is the culmination of many hours of trial and error.
